In-home medical detox is withdrawal management provided in a patient's residence under the direction of a physician. Care is individualized and may include medical supervision, monitoring, medications, and supportive therapies when medically appropriate. It is offered only to patients for whom a medical evaluation determines home-based care may be suitable.

Home-based withdrawal management is not appropriate for everyone. The first step is a confidential medical consultation. Our physician will evaluate your circumstances and determine whether home-based withdrawal management may be appropriate or whether a higher level of care should be considered.

Programs commonly last several days and may extend to approximately five to seven days, depending on the individual's medical circumstances and the physician's treatment plan.

When it is part of the prescribed care plan, an RN or other qualified medical professional may remain with the patient, including on a 24-hour basis. The level of in-home supervision is determined by the physician as part of the individualized treatment plan.

We may provide withdrawal management related to alcohol, opioids and opiates, benzodiazepines, methamphetamines and other stimulants, and additional substances when medically appropriate.

HomeDetoxMD currently operates as a private-pay, cash-pay medical service and does not bill insurance. The initial consultation is free.

We currently serve South Florida, including Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, with plans to expand throughout Florida. Availability depends on location and medical staffing.

Discretion is central to how the practice is designed. Care is delivered in the privacy of your own residence, communication is handled discreetly, and patient confidentiality is treated with respect at every stage.

If the physician determines that hospital-based, emergency, or another higher level of care is more appropriate, you will be directed accordingly. Anyone experiencing a medical emergency should call 911 or seek emergency medical care immediately.
