Withdrawal Management
Benzodiazepine Withdrawal Management at Home
Individualized benzodiazepine withdrawal care under the direction of a board-certified physician, provided at home only when a medical evaluation determines it may be clinically appropriate.
Individualized, Physician-Directed Care
Benzodiazepine withdrawal requires careful medical assessment. HomeDetoxMD does not offer a standardized protocol; each plan is developed by the physician based on the individual's medical history and current circumstances.
When home-based care is determined to be appropriate, the plan may include physician oversight, medical supervision in the home, medications when medically appropriate, IV fluids and supportive therapies, and close ongoing monitoring.
If the physician determines that hospital-based or another higher level of care is more appropriate, the patient will be directed accordingly.
Home-based withdrawal management is not appropriate for everyone. All care is individualized and provided only after a medical evaluation determines that home-based treatment may be clinically appropriate. Patients who require emergency, hospital, or a higher level of care will be directed accordingly.
